OVER/UPPER is the first solo release by Berlin based percussion virtuoso Alexandre Babel. Using Drums, Wood, Metal, Stone and Glass Babel presents his concept of “musique concrete instrumentale”, changing constantly between reduced textures and vigorous outbursts. His instrumental playing is condensed by the use of mecanically produced sounds by aerosol sprays or small electromotors that tap on diffrent surfaces. Recorded and mixed by industrial legend Roli Mosimann at Rec Publica, Lubrza and carefully mastered by Rashad Becker at D&M, Berlin.
