In a Mixtape for Warmer Tapes, Björn Magnusson writes about Cabbages: «It is [...] an eclectic wizard of many trades, among others preparing curries after 4000 year old recipes delivered from some Sanskrit cookbook or writing great songs. I include this for several reasons. For one, because we're all hustlers and I gotta milk that promotional cow, but mainly because starting this band with Paul has been a pivotal point in my personal and artistic, can I call it, career?... Endless lysergic nights of wired up discussions about everything from Harry Nilsson to Zen Buddhism as well as bouncing ideas back and forth has shaped much of who, at least think, I am at the moment. Today? Or not am?

And here's the story about how Björn and Paul met respectively the story about Cabbages:
«It all started out in a kitchen in Berlin, couple of years ago, strumming on a guitar and drinking cheap beer. At some point I disappeared, or maybe I had already left shortly before, and gotten all the news second hand from the man himself, but at this point it makes no difference anymore. Memory is a double sided dagger, painting blood whichever way it falls. And after all, a good story is a good story, and despite all the foggy night time debauchery I can still vividly remember how I felt, when it finally hit me - It had to be the Jehovas Witnesses. It was absolutely clear that the JW were the secret ingredient to Prince’s unruly guitar genius, and thus, such a church had to be found, right now, right here, in Berlin, regardless of what time and space continuum those Jonesyboys were running on. Bj was already gone, although I can't remember him walking out the door, but at some point he was gone, and with him the guitar we'd been strumming all night. I felt light and joyful, as I went on my way, asking everybody for direction. Just a little direction boy, please. But even the cops couldn't help. Turns out there was no Jehova's in Berlin, at least not that night, or that morning for that matter, maybe some other day, maybe some other universe, but not there at that moment. I thought I knew where I was going, but I guess I lost it.At least I still remember that feeling.»
