“ Membranes is a ghost record of Benjamin Brejon & Jonathan Uliel Saldanha which is an ever unfinished non-record.
We started it in 2007. And finished it a million times. But never really.
I found this set of mixes in a forgotten cloud and Les Intérêts Spécifiques decided to release them as is.
But it's just a version and a format. Principle of dub is the ghost and replicas. The ghost of a ghost. Substitutions. No original master. Remixes of a lost source. Like translating a non-native language to another language. passing things to others;

This tape release is disclosing an active archive : a Polaroid picture of a zone of sound, rhythms, lyrics,dynamics of a non quantifiable or particular moment in history. Could have been recorded yesterday or tomorrow. Or not recorded at all. This mix surfaced back from the abysses .”
