Search Zero 08:39 listen - Bureau B reissues the first and only project by German electronic giants Dieter Moebius, Conny Plank, and Mani Neumeier, originally released in 1983 on Sky Records. - Moebius - the pioneer of electronic music from its very inception (member of Cluster and Harmonia); Plank - a legendary Krautrock producer (NEU!, Can, Guru Guru, Ash Ra Temple, Grobschnitt and more); Mani Neumeier - drummer and founder of Guru Guru. - Zero Set was the third Moebius & Plank project. - File under: ambient/music history/Kosmische Musik/avant garde. - "...a highly percussive affair with Mani Neumeier. The album is saturated in drum and synth rhythms and polyrhythms, resulting in compositions that are energetic and infectious ... Zero Set is impressive; to date, it's possibly the most interesting project on which the three musicians have worked. " --All Music Guide - "Though not a dance record per se, Zero Set is one of the earliest extensions of Krautrock's possibilities on the dance floor, pitting the profoundly electronic sequence patterns of Plank and Moebius against the hyperactive percussives of Guru Guru drummer Mani Neumeier. On tracks such as the prophetically titled 'Speed Display' and 'Pitch Control,' the phasing, chattering and decidedly Germanic grooves found on Zero Set constitute vibrant proto-techno at its earliest and finest."
