LAMFS collective founding member (and part of Le Forte Four) Joe Potts utilised the US postal service - which would make America’s indie underground network function in the Eighties - to assemble and curate ‘I.D. Art #2’. It was a collage of voicemail recordings, field recordings and improvised pieces, courtesy of the label’s immediate circle (LFF, Smegma, Doo-Dooettes etc.) and artists from around the country, clocking in at three dozen-or-so pieces.
