A music compilation showcasing Tunisia’s most unconventional, experimental and chaotic sonic explorations.

'If you go searching for Tunisia’s non-mainstream and experimental music scene, you’ll find it scattered, underrepresented, and chaotic; a realm of Bandcamp self releases, scattered Soundcloud links, and private archives, with no central platform to unite it all. What surfaces instead is the music deemed palatable by the international industry, often flattened into the vague exoticism of "world music”. The rest remains hidden, resisting categorization.
This compilation is an archive of that sonic chaos; a collection of musical explorations and soundscapes that thrash against the constraints of Tunisia’s conditions (and those of the region at large).
Here, survival is an act of defiance: this scene mutates, fractures, and rebuilds, refusing to disappear despite repression, crumbling infrastructure, and the absence of distribution channels. It exists in spite of its incompatibility with local cultural norms and the West’s fetishized expectations of what music from this region "should" sound like. To speak of Tunisia’s experimental scene is to speak of daily survival, of enduring, breaking, and reassembling against the odds.
This compilation is an ode to that survival.'
